Jamie Dodson is a veteran of a 35-year intelligence career. He’s served with Special Operations, Airborne Infantry, Air and Missile Defense, Army Aviation, and assignments with our allies. He’s lived on three continents, the Hawaiian Islands and numerous US locations. Currently, he consults for the US Army Intelligence and Security Command.
Jamie writes the Nick Grant Adventures, historical fiction novels set during the Golden Age of Aviation. In 2008, OnStage Publishing, LLC released Flying Boats & Spies, which won the Eric Hoffer Fiction Award. EmiMoon Productions optioned Flying Boats & Spies for a major motion picture. OnStage published his second novel, China Clipper in 2010, and his third MISSION: Shanghai in 2012. Ardent Writer Publishing published Book IV – Black Dragons Attack in 2017. In 2018, Schiffer Publishing will release his non-fiction anthology Hunting the Wind. As for Nick Grant, Jamie is working on Book V; its working title is Samoan Clipper. Jamie is also the co-editor and contributor to the 2018 Schiffer Publishing release a Pan American Flying Boat Anthology called HUNTING THE WIND, past the point of no return. It is memoir about those magnificent Pan Am flying boats and the people who flew them. It contains remembrances of those who served aboard the Clippers as crew and those who rode as passengers. He's also working on a non-fiction memoir about the forgotten indigenous warriors who fought alongside US Special Forces during the Vietnam War. Jamie is married to Dr. Joan Dodson and they have two grown sons and a daughter, two spoiled cats, and an 110lb German Sheppard "lap dog." They have called Huntsville home since 2001. |
