Aboard the RMS Queen Mary in Long Beach Harbor, April 1st, 2014. Wonderful old ship built in 1936 for the Atlantic trade. Retired in 1967 as a victim of Pan Am jet service. No longer did the movie stars and elite travel in the luxury and style of the Queens, They hoped a Jet Clipper and were across the pond in six hours vs. five glorious days at sea. I crossed the Atlantic on the QM in 1959 with my parents. Being back aboard has rekindled some deep memories of that magical trip.
Since I'm working on Mission Hughes: H-1 right now, I don't have a lot of spare time to dedicate to a full-time blog. But, I will post updates about events I'm attending. Thanks for stopping by.Cheers!Jamie
